Responsibilities include forensic investigation, document analysis, development of repair recommendations, contract disputes, mold investigation, building code and materials research, standard of care, construction cost allocation, construction drawing review, ADA compliance, and expert witness testimony.
Mr. Schmidt brings over 33 years of diversified design and construction dispute resolution experience to MC Consultants. His architectural project experience includes, but is not limited to, historic restoration, multi-family residential, single family residential, residential lofts, commercial office, retail (mall, strip center, big box, and tenant improvement), theater, restaurant, bar and night club, schools, institutional and industrial projects, healthcare facilities, and religious facilities. His understanding of building assemblies includes, but is not limited to, building code application, sustainable design concepts, ADA investigation and analysis, construction drawings, project specifications, thermal and moisture protection, fenestration systems, and fire-resistive assemblies.
